Hawzah News Agency- in view of the completion of the 8th term of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminaries and in line with the implementation of Article 6 of the statute of this council, based on the proposal of the members of the Supreme Council of the Seminaries by Qom Seminary Teachers' Society to the Supreme Leader and the great Shia sources of emulation, this issue was raised in the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Seminary Teachers' Society and a committee was formed to review the issue and the individuals' suggestions.

After holding numerous meetings and conducting reviews; The individuals proposed by this committee were put to the vote in the meetings of the Supreme Council of the Qom Seminary Teachers' Society, and ultimately, senior scholars Ayatollah Javad Marvi, Mohsen Araki, Mahmoud Rajabi, Mohammad Mehdi Shabzandehdar, Alireza Arafi, Mahmoud Abdullahi, and Seyyed Mohammad Gharavi were elected as members of the ninth term of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, and were approved by the Supreme Leader and the great religious authorities to be in charge of major policymaking in the highest seminary institution for next four years.
